Radish Daikon
Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus
This radish is well known in the east of Asia. It makes elongated white radishes up to 50 cm long with large leaves, which can be also used in salads or as a spinach. It has a milder flavor than monthly radishes but still very aromatic. It is indispensable in East Asian cuisine.
In contradiction with a monthy radish, we sov radish Daikon only in summer for harvest in autumn.
