Radish Eiszapten
Raphanus sativus var. sativus L.
Fast growing radish. It makes 10 - 12 cm long white radishes with little foliage. It is crisp and aromatic.
Raddish can be sown throughout the whole year, but it doesn't do well in summer (it usually gets vapid or it desn't even grow). We usually sow it in spring (begining of March), but the best yield we can have is if we sow it in autumn (end of August - October). At this time radishes become the most thick and tasty and they do not get vapid.
It is known for being a 'monthly radish' because it takes about a month from soving to harvesting.
