Summer Purslane
Portulaca oleracea
Summer purslane grows into 30-40cm tall clumps and forms large, fleshy leaves. Compared to wild purslane, the clumps and leaves are larger. It can be sown and harvested several times during the summer. If only the tops of the plants are cut, they will grow again. The leaves have a refreshing taste and can be used in salads, spreads, side dishes, etc.
